CAT has won the dismissal of a lawsuit accusing it of misleading shareholders about risks it allegedly took on by using foreign subsidiaries to avoid paying U.S. taxes. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman said the plaintiffs including Societe Generale Securities Services failed to show cat intended to defraud them, or that it knowingly made false statements.

Caterpillar has inked a deal to deliver a fleet of (20) 793F autonomous vehicles and other mining equipment to Rio Tinto (NYSE:RIO) for use in its new Koodaideri “intelligent” iron ore mine operation in Australia.
