Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey is set to testify before the House Energy and Commerce Committee on Sept 5th, 2018. Republican Committee Chairmen Rep. Greg Walden "intends to ask tough questions about how Twitter monitors and polices content," after a number of Republicans raised concerns about social media companies removing content from conservatives profiles via "ghosting." U.S. President Donald Trump has unblocked a number of Twitter users after a federal judge said preventing people from following him violated individuals constitutional rights. U.S. District Judge Naomi Reice Buchwald ruled on May 23 in Manhattan that comments on the president's account, and those of other government officials, are public forums and that ~~[b]~~blocking Twitter users for their views violated their right to free speech under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.[/b] In related news, U.S. President Donald Trump has accused Google (~~[url="https://predatortradinggroup.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=34"]~~GOOG[/url]) of manually adjusting search engine results in order to promote negative news articles and hide "fair media" coverage of him. The US President vowed to address the situation without providing evidence or giving details of action he might take.

Twitter is reporting earnings of $0.21 per share on revenues of $758 million for the quarter ending September 2018. Analysts expected $0.14 per share on $702.6 million in sales. Twitter noted a larger-than-expected decline in monthly active users and suggested the number could fall again in the current quarter.
